



摘要:近年来,人工智能的突破性进展引起学者们的广泛关注。随着中国家族企业代际传承高峰的到来,家族企业二代逐渐接班并对企业经营和战略决策产生影响。基于2011—2023年中国上市家族企业数据,本文考察了二代接班对家族企业人工智能应用的影响以及作用机制。基于社会情感财富理论和注意力基础观,本文发现二代接班显著抑制了家族企业的人工智能应用。管理层短视强化了二代接班对人工智能应用的抑制作用,而管理层信息技术背景弱化了二代接班对人工智能应用的抑制作用。机制检验表明,二代接班降低了家族企业人工智能导向,从而降低人工智能应用水平。本文从家族企业二代接班的角度出发,为家族企业人工智能应用的前因研究提供了一个新颖且重要的视角,也为中国家族企业实现代际传承与数智化转型的协同推进提供管理启示。
Abstract: In recent years, breakthroughs in artificial intelligence have attracted extensive attention from scholars. With the arrival of the peak of intergenerational inheritance in Chinese family businesses, the second generation of family businesses is gradually taking over and influencing business operations and strategic decisions. Based on the data of listed family businesses in China from 2011 to 2023, this paper examines the impact of second-generation succession on the AI adoption in family businesses and its mechanism. Based on the socioemotional wealth theory and the attention-based view, this paper finds that second-generation succession significantly inhibits the AI adoption in family businesses. Moreover, managerial myopia exacerbates the inhibitory effect of second-generation succession on AI adoption, whereas managerial IT backgrounds mitigate this effect. Finally, the mechanism test suggests that second-generation succession reduces the AI orientation of family business and thus the level of AI adoption. From the perspective of second-generation succession in family businesses, this paper provides a novel and important perspective for antecedent research on AI adoption in family businesses, as well as managerial insights for Chinese family businesses to achieve synergistic promotion of transgenerational succession and digital-intelligence transformation.
